Calgary, Alberta, January 19 – FISHING AND HUNTING EXPERTS AT THE 2010 CALGARY BOAT & SPORTSMEN’S SHOW

Look no further than the series of entertaining and informative seminars and celebrity appearances presented at the 2010 Calgary Boat and Sportsmen’s Show at BMO Centre in Stampede Park, February 4-7, 2010.

Incorporating a 5,000-gallon demonstration pool, renowned outdoor experts T.J. Schwanky, Richard Mellon, Claudio Ongaro, and Brad Fenson will reel in live fish for audiences and discuss a wide range of outdoor topics. Terry Grant, better known as The Mantracker, will also be making an appearance at the show!

Terry Grant is The Mantracker airing its fourth season weekly on OLN. An expert horseman and wilderness professional, hunting, guiding and tracking come second nature to this Albertan. His specialized skills have made him a crucial member of the Foothills Search and Rescue Team for almost 15 years. Find out more about Terry Grant and the show at mantracker.ca.

T.J. Schwanky is co-host of Outdoor Quest Television that airs worldwide on The Men’s Channel, and in Canada on Wild TV. An accomplished fisherman, hunter, wildlife photographer, and author, in 1995, T.J. penned the best seller, Walleye Across The West, which was voted “Best Outdoor Book On Any Subject,” by the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association. T.J. has written more than 100 articles, news items and columns for outdoor publications throughout North America, and, since 1988, has regularly competed in the professional walleye tournament trail in Western Canada.

Co-host of Outdoor Quest Television Richard Mellon started entering fishing tournaments on his home waters of Alberta and Saskatchewan. After becoming a regular on the winner’s stage in Western Canada, Richard spent five years competing on the prestigious In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) in the United States. While competing in the PWT, Richard achieved a level of success that has been unmatched by any other Canadian, including qualifying for the PWT Championship an unprecedented four times. Richard is well-known within the industry for his cutting-edge articles on the latest fishing techniques and equipment, and he uses a no-nonsense approach to “how to” writing that makes him a favourite with editors.

An outfitter since 1994, Claudio Ongaro is an expert whitetail and mule deer hunter, walleye angler, and waterfowl hunter. He is a regular contributor for many outdoor publications and his personal hunting adventures have taken him from the windswept, cactus-strewn prairies to the muddiest muskeg bogs of the lowlands, and as high as the snow-covered peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

Brad Fenson is an avid outdoorsman whose passion for adventure and photography leads him out into the field for more than 100 days each year. A regular columnist with Alberta Outdoorsman, and Field Editor for both Outdoor Canada and Black Powder hunting magazines, Fenson has earned over 18 national communication awards for his writing and photography.
